Well here we go, I got the green light to keep blogging, texting and tweeting. As excited as I am for Hallowcade IV, tickets available HERE, it’s time to look back at last month’s AWESOME Blitz show, Fallout 2012! So what you are about to read is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but what I think.

Fallout has come and gone and like a first date it came with more questions than answers.  Am getting ahead of myself? The night started up with the best Blitz Arena set-up ever to be seen by a Blitz crowd! There where 2 10x8 video screens, lights from the rafters, opening videos, entrance videos and Mr.Ricolo shooting confetti guns!

Fallout 2012 started on a somber note when a backstage interview with Ruff Crossing was interrupted by a call from the hospital saying, “someone in the family was seriously ill.” As I brushed back tears, Ruff left the building meaning no rematch against  “Ravishing” Ryan Slade. All tears aside, the show had to go on! Action spilled out of the Blitz arena like a big girl in tight jeans!

The first match saw the debut of  Clancy, a grappler out of south Boston. No one envied him, though, as his first match was against Jay Bradley! The 6’6”, self proclaimed ASS KICKER who has been on a vicious tear. Upon Clancy’s entrance, however, a question from previous months would be answered. The man in the top hat came out and told the crowd he was behind the cryptic letters that had been sent to the Blitz Offices. He revealed that the mysterious “RM” was HIM! He calls himself, “The “Ringmaster!” He went on to say, “that all good things come in three’s!” He then showed a video of  Pauly Tomaselli accepting a mask and a contract. RM then turned to the crowd saying, “That’s one! Let me introduce you to number three…”

Clancy is in the ring wondering what is P.T Barnum talking about until Grinn jumped the barricade to crush Clancy with the help of newly masked, Hellhound Tomas Elli. While this beat down ensues, The Ringmaster says the third will be the un-stoppable, Machine! Folks it was crazy and now we know the Dark Carnival has come to Blitz.

Once Clancy and the Dark Canival had cleared the ring Jay Bradley still wanted a match. Jay called out anyone in the back to try to fight him! To his surprise the call was answered by the 335 lb, Moonsault Jumping, Midwest Monster… Xavier Mustafa! Mustafa put up a brave fight but the ring savvy and pure power of Bradley did Mustafa in and he also fell victim to Jay Bradley’s “Boomstick” lariat.

As Jay made his way to the back, The Elite broadcast an interview to the Blitz arena laughing about how Matty Starr had pretended to be the doctor who called Ruff Crossing earlier! Matty was the one that called Ruff with the news telling him, “You’re mother has had a heart attack!” You could barely hear them over the conniving laughter coming from The Elite’s Power Agent Rinaldo Piven. I think I heard Piven say, “What an idiot Ruff is,” and, “How gullible his is,” and, “that’s why he will never get the title off Slade!” Slade, we were told, was off filming a cameo with Kelsey Grammer on the set of Boss. Which meant only two of the three Elite were at Blitz and Matty Starr and Zach Thompson where forced into action by Blitz Management. Their opponents would be the “Puerto Rican Lover” Mr.450 and none other than the man formally known as “The Hurricane” Shane Helms!

This match was awesome from the start. Not only for the non-stop action but the barrage of insults made towards the Elite from The Hurricane. The match was back and forth until the Hurricane caught “The Gingerbread Man,” Zach Thompson, that’s what The Hurricane kept calling him, with his patented choke slam!  Fatty Matty Starr, again what Hurricane kept calling him, was immobilized by a suicide dive through the ropes by Mr. 450.

Scarpone announced that Blitz will be holding elections to determine the first ever Commissioner of Pro Wrestling Blitz. Just then, the leader of the Church, Billy Whack, came out to take the job outright but Scarpone said he would wait to see if any other candidates would come forward for the job. Scarpone added that Blitz will open the hiring process to the fans of Blitz with an online vote after Hallowcade IV. I wonder if anyone will come forward to run for office or will Billy Whack go uncontested?

Blitz’s own Rock Star, Jimmy Rockwell, was set in the ring next for his match up with  Hardcore Craig for the No Limits Championship. This match was thrilling from the get go with Rockwell more than holding his own against Craig, a former 2 time Blitz Heavyweight Champion himself. The match tittered back and forth, with occasional interference from Rockwell’s Road Agent Kujo of course. Rockwell’s offense was stopped with a flurry of skin breaking chops from Hardcore Craig! Then, while Craig was setting up for his TKO finisher from out of the back came Matty Starr to attack Craig! Costing Craig his chance to be No limits Champion and maybe even his career because Matty deliver not 1… not 2… but 3 Package Pile Drivers to Craig in the middle of the ring. Craig lay motionless as Matty kepy Blitz’ referees and officials from getting in the ring. Eventually, Matty did leave the ring and Craig was stretchered from the ring by Blitz medical personal. Maybe Matty Starr should change his name from the walking aphrodisiac to the career killer…

After carting Craig to the back for medical attention, the match everyone was waiting for was about to unfold. The “Old School Extreme” match between Jerry Lynn and Vic Capri . There were not too many technical holds to see here. Just pure vengeful rage with a beer keg, 3 tables , 4 chairs, 2 ladders and a spear in the corner through a table from Lynn for the victory. Yes, you just read a recipe for destruction and that was what it was. I’m giving a standing ovation as I write this that’s how good it was. Be sure to watch out at pwblitz.com for the DVD when it becomes available.

Fallout ended with as many question as there where answers, but that’s why I love Blitz. You have to come and see it live to experience that edge of your seat kind of excitement! What will be the repercussions for The Elite and Matty Starr? Who will be laughing when Ruff Crossing is in the building for Hallowcade IV looking for revenge? Will Hardcore Craig be able to wrestle again? And what surprises does the Dark Carnival have in mind for Blitz?

Hallowcade IV tickets can be purchased HERE. Thanks for reading and this have been my, “View From the Booth.”

Yes, for a good two week there we were without our beloved @BlitzWrestling Twitter handle. Someone out on the interwebs actually went out of their way to mess with us, so in it’s place @BlitzActive was created to fill it’s void until we got it back.

Thankfully, BlitzActive is now DEACTIVATED. For all Blitz Twitter info and conversations from now on and forever… we hope… go follow us @BlitzWrestling.
